Telangana: 24-year-old held for raping minor

DORNAKAL: A 17-year-old girl was raped by a 24-year-old accused in Perumandlasamkeesa village under Dornakal police station limits of Mahabubabad district in Telangana. The police arrested the accused, B Ramesh, a resident of the same village.
The incident came to light when the minor complained of stomach pain and her mother took her to a private hospital for a health check-up.After conducting all tests, the doctors confirmed that the girl was pregnant. The girl's parents later lodged a complaint at Dornakal police station and a case was registered under section 376 IPC and POCSO Act.
